Winkflo™ - Magnetic Screen Door (Heavy Duty)

I purchased a similar screen door 2 1/2 years ago and the screen began ripping this year where most people push instead of parting at the magnetic seam. The fiberglass screen is more durable than normal screen wire, but some brands have extra visible reinforcing material stitched in and might last longer.Installation for me was easy as I used a pencil to mark the screen door edges and top locations while holding it in place. I placed the velcro tape in those locations, stripping away the backing as I applied it. Once in place and applied using a tool supplied for this, I also stapled the strips every 4-6 inches. Then I attached the screen door to that velcro and it was done. And it is removable, if desired.I like the extra mid velcro straps that tie the two screens back to the side. But it still has velcro for the bottom corners to grab to wall pieces I already had in place. There is enough extra attachment velcro if you want this option for a first time installation to hold the screen out of the way.It probably would last longer if the separation point area of screen was reinforced where people push the screen instead of parting the seam. These are so much better than a full screen door we had used for decades prior in that location.

 This was easy to install, cheap, and it’s perfect for my dog. I did buy more tacks at a home improvement store, but I still love it. Please forgive my old door….

This mesh door works well for me and my dog. i especially like the side ties to keep the door open when I’m bring in groceries, etc. Does the trick!

Time to replace the door screen (aka doggy door) and the last one I bought wasn't available, so I took a chance on this one. I'm glad I did - so much so that I ordered another to keep on hand for the replacement next time. I have 3 dogs (50#, 97# and a 70# puppy) who like to play in-and-out all the time. Can't leave the door open without some protection because Oklahoma bugs have no boundaries. So I have used a magnetic screen for ages to solve the problem. The last one survived two years, and I was disappointed to find it wasn't available, but the reviews on this Sunolga were pretty good. I can see why. It is good, heavy mesh material and the seams are well-sewn. I can't say much about the adhesive durability because I only use it for getting the screen in place before tacking it down with roofing nails. What I can say is that my dogs crash through it several times a day, sometimes crowding each other so much that they pull the nails out, but they have not been able to tear up the screen itself. The magnets are strong enough that the sides almost always snap back together (metal door, so sometimes they get flung into that and stick), and it lets the dogs play as they want but keeps most of the bugs out of the house. That's a definite win here!

I've tried one of these before and returned it. I use this on a 5' French door that opens to a covered patio. I did add a furring strip to one side of the door frame to get the best fit. The adhesive on the Velcro that goes on the frame is very sticky, I'm sure I'll have to repaint when I take it off and the Velcro itself is very strong, I didn't use any of the little tacks that came with it. Run the little black tool along the Velcro with your thumb to make good contact. The magnetic closure is fine for our location-no direct strong wind but if it's very windy for the side of the house you're considering, I'm not sure it would be strong enough. My two cats were hesitant to nudge their way through it at first but within a few days were plowing right through it. It's also very quiet when you're used to hearing someone go through a door (or a pet door) you're not likely to hear them go in and out of this.

I didn't have a screen on the back door! So I figure I would try this! Worked great and when kids ran through or my dog the magnets brought it right back together!! I love how it was long because I have a tall door frame as well .
